The issue of securing the unity of measurement of technical data is urgent for the modern development of metrology. This article examines the basic principles of securing metrological unity of measurement of technical data and defines the technical basis and legislative principle of control (direction). It presents the function of the federal executive authorities that develop public policy and standard legal regulation in the field of metrology and technical measurements. It pays the primary attention to the development of the problems for the state scientific metrological institutions and regional metrological centers.
